Free eBooks are back at Tor.com

Tor.com has so much success with their free eBooks during the run up to launching their site that they are bringing the practice back.  Patrick Nielsen Hayden announced the first two titles in the relaunched promotion today.

The first two books are Emma Bull’s War for the Oaks and Will Sheterly’s Dogland.  Looks like they have them in HTML, Sony, Mobi, and PDF formats.  Of course, those of us with Kindles, Palms, or Windows Mobile devices will be able to read them in Mobi format with a minimum of fuss.  To access the books, you have to be a registered member of Tor.com.  I haven’t been having any issues with spam from them – just a periodic “what’s up at Tor” email, which you can opt out of.  More than worth it for free eBooks, not to mention some damn nice blogging and short fiction.
